VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMS IN EDUCATION, SPORTS AND HEALTH IN GHANA, AFRICA

VOLUNTEERING IN GHANA

HOLA GHANA offers you the opportunity to volunteer in a local NGO, serving and helping others, being part of the change. We consider that international experiences are a good way for personal growth, helping participants develop their potential of service. Besides, it provides skills and professional competences.

Ghana is located on the West Coast of Africa along the Gulf of Guinea and on the Greenwich Meridian, Ghana is bordered by Burkina Faso to the North, Cote D ́Ivore to the West, Togo to the East and the Atlantic Ocean to the South..

Experiencing extreme poverty changes people radically and it shakes them to the core. Seeing up close destitution for the first time is shocking, Spending time around poverty even without sharing it, constantly contemplating it, forces you to react.

There is real commitment with local NGOs. We ask for donations in order to develop foundational activities and cover our own operational costs; A great portion of those donations goes directly to the local NGO. For more information, click here.

MORE INFORMATION

WISDOM, LOCAL DIRECTOR

One of the most important aspects of the international volunteer experience is being able to share your time in Ghana with Wisdom, the local director. It is a great human being, with a unique capacity for commitment and simplicity, with a contagious joy and hope, with an inspiring way of living life. One of the most precious gifts will be the unforgettable conversations that you can carry out. Sometimes, volunteers can also meet Oscar in Africa, the founder of HOLA GHANA.

You will be able to get familiar with the local traditions and food, getting involved in long conversations that will allow you to understand better the reality of the country. TESTIMONIALS

Volunteering means offering others opportunities that life has rather offered me for any other reason… you are always going to receive more than what you gave in a program like this.

- SILVIA, Barcelona

As a personal matter, the learning is enormous, I discovered skills and emotions that I didn´t knew I had, and have returned full of hope and energy.
